Overcoming Chronic Fatigue

 A few months ago, my life was completely idle. I was plagued by chronic fatigue and stress. I had visited countless doctors who ran as many tests and evaluations as possible, but still my problem could not be resolved. Depression was setting in because just getting out of bed in the morning was about all I could do. Simple everyday tasks like school and work were a struggle for me. Finally a friend recommended me to Corinne.

Corinne introduced me to Qi Gong, showing me various exercises that I could do in only a few minutes every day. At the same time she gave me several Qi healing treatments. Within a matter of days, I began to feel better. My energy level began to dramatically increase, as well as my happiness and overall outlook on life. With Corinne's help, I no longer feel lifeless. Even my posture has improved significantly. I was completely surprised at how beneficial Qi Gong and Qi Healing have been for my life. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to improve their wellbeing.



Meets You Where You Are

Corinne’s teaching of Qi Gong unfolds in layers. Her lightness of spirit allows beginners to ease into the potency of this form. When her students have the body mechanics for each movement fairly stable - what the head, arms, hands, hips, legs, knees, and feet do - she adds in the layer of the breath. How does the breath move in relation to the movements of the body in the form? Later, she layers in the energetic teachings. How is the energy, the qi, moving in the body during each movement and how is this guided by the breath? Then comes a layer of teaching about how the body, breath, and energy moving in concert are performing specific healing for the mind, body, and spirit. She generously repeats all of the layers so that the integration of the teachings happens gradually and over time. Sometimes the layers are taught separately and sometimes they are combined in just the right way at the right time to speak to what she senses the student needs.




For me, it has been a journey of self-discovery, awakening, and healing. For you, it may be about the deep peace that fills you and follows you after class. For someone else, it may be the relief of insomnia or anxiety or back pain. Qi Gong will meet you where you are. So does Corinne. She is a dedicated conduit for the teaching that she lives daily as well as shares with her students.

Spring Tune Up 2014

I was excited to sign up for the 6 day a week class for the month of March because I needed some extra motivation and my schedule finally allowed for it. Originally I thought it would be a great way to start a work out habit and as an overall health bonus. I noticed from day 1 that I would leave class feeling so energized yet also relaxed. My days were also filled with more confidence. Not only was Corinne providing a physically challenging qi gong work out, she also allowed us to really focus our energies and push ourselves to grow. She was great inspiration this month and I am looking forward to beginning her next class and continuing my journey.

Treasure as a Teacher

Corinne Chaves is a treasure as a teacher of Tai Chi and Qi Gong. As a student of hers in Atlanta and in Denver, I have benefited from her passion for teaching and her constant devotion to advancing her own studies. She is a purposeful, powerful, gentle, and supportive teacher who focuses on bringing well-being and health into the lives of her students through Qi Gong, Tai Chi and other healing methods.
